  4.     Lyn Nofziger, former political director for Ronald Reagan, has
  5. written to complain that when he was convicted of violating a
  6. federal ethics law and sentenced to prison back in 1988, we found
  7. the event newsworthy. But when a federal appeals court overturned
  8. that conviction in June, we failed to mention it in the magazine.
  9. "Shouldn't newsmagazines also have a code of ethics?" Nofziger's
  10. letter asked.

  12.     The answer is yes. Mr. Nofziger's point is well taken, and we
  13. apologize.
